Contact the pastor if you are interested in having your child dedicated.
What is child dedication?
A child dedication is when parents make a vow before God and others to raise their child to the best of their ability according to the Word of God (Deuteronomy 6:4-9).
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
In doing so, they promise to: (1) teach and train their child the Word and ways of God; (2) show their child how to live a godly life by way of example; (3) love their child with all their heart; (4) provide for their child’s needs; (5) pray earnestly with, and for, their child; and (6) disciple them in accordance with God’s word.
The church joins the parents in helping them teach their children the ways of the Lord, praying for the parents and the children, as well as being godly examples for the children to follow. This is accomplished when each person in the church uses their spiritual gift(s) as the Holy Spirit leads.
